Desert Defence Features

• Closed lacing eyelets to prevent snag on parachute rigging lines or swarm ropes.
• Rubber toe cap.

• Elasticated Lace pocket to store away laces to prevent entangling.

• Open weave Cordura mesh panels for maximum breathability. Cordura is used only in areas unlikely to experience significant wear.
• Suede leather in areas that experience high wear such as the instep during fast roping.
• Hydrophobic foam between upper materials and waterproof lining. This allows perspiration and liquid water to pass quickly to the exterior of the boot. Foams are minimised in other areas of the boot to minimise weight.

• Internal polymer toe cap with generous volume to protect the toes from impact and minimise rub zones during very long tabs and pack marches.
• Critical seams minimised in high wear areas. No instep seam in the area that a fast rope would rub in order to prolong the boot life.
• PU midsole for the optimum balance of shock absorption, vibration dampening, rebound and flexibility.
• Differential pronation and supination support zones combine with optimised heel to toe drop and midsole taper to aid natural heel to toe gait.
• Very comfortable full-length orthotic differential tapered polyamide shank with defined torsion and flexation zones. Medium flex for strong tibial and metatarsal support on uneven terrain.

• DIGAfix® lacing system. Provides perfect support to the ankle and holds the heel into the heel counter to increase ankle stability and guard against heel rubbing and blisters.
• Closed lace hooks to prevent snags on parachute rigging lines and fast ropes.
• Multi-core Polyaramid reinforced laces for ultimate strength and reliability
• Synthetic internal structure supports to balance ankle support and flexibility.

• AIR-ACTIVE® SOFT PRINT footbed by Vildona® wicks perspiration from the feet and transports it away from the sole to the permeable lining.
• Internal Nubuck leather heel counter in the critical high wear heel area to maximise boot life span during arduous military activities such as extended pack marches.
